Youtechnow – Microsoft has officially unveiled a new AI model specifically for Windows PCs, boasting the fastest intelligence and performance called Copilot+ PC. This new AI model emerges as a contender to OpenAI through ChatGPT-40.

As a new category for Windows laptops, Copilot+ PC comes equipped with advanced hardware and built-in AI features. The Copilot+ PC devices feature a new processor offering 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), all-day battery life, and access to cutting-edge AI models.

In an official statement, Yusuf Mehdi, Executive Vice President and Consumer Chief Marketing Officer, expressed that Windows is implementing Copilot+ PC through Qualcomm’s fastest chips to optimize its advanced intelligence features.

Copilot+ PC will be available through all major partners or laptop manufacturers such as Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, HP, Acer, and ASUS. Additionally, Microsoft will introduce Copilot+ PC in its own line of laptops through the Surface models, including Surface and Surface Pro.

All laptops supporting Copilot+ PC will feature a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to support AI features. Laptops using Copilot+ PC are claimed to be 20 times more powerful and 100 times more efficient in running AI features.

Laptops with Copilot+ are also said to outperform the Apple MacBook Air 15″ by up to 58% in sustained multithreaded performance while providing all-day battery life.

Thanks to its efficiency, Copilot+ PCs are claimed to operate for 22 hours of local video playback or 15 hours of web browsing on a single charge. This represents a 20% increase in battery life for local video playback compared to the MacBook Air 15″.
